Yard Sale Tag Change Reminder

Starting in 2005, Tri-City MoMs changed the way yard sale tags are filled out. The difference is a numbering system versus using members’ last names on each tag. Many of our sister clubs have been using this system for some time now, and they have been very successful with it. We will still require the same information be filled out. The only exception will be the use of an assigned number in place of your last name.

The Board realizes you may still have items that are already tagged with your last name. That is acceptable. We only ask, going forward, that you use the number assigned to you. There will be a transition period for the next couple of yard sales, but eventually all items for sale will have a number versus a name. Numbers are available from our Treasurer, Jin Russell, if you have not received a number previously.

Why the change you ask? The Board has received a lot feedback requesting confidentiality on each member’s sales at the yard sales. After some research, we found that many of our sister clubs were already on track preserving their members’ privacy by using a confidential numbering system. Once a number has been assigned, it is yours for every yard sale going forward.
